Our March Mission
As you may know, March is Women's History Month. We're so excited it's finally here! As a female-owned and run business we are major advocates for women's empowerment and we are always looking for ways to help, support and encourage other women.
After raising funds for Breast Cancer Research last October we felt really moved by our community joining together to complete our mission. We've felt called to do something more and make an impact in our local community.
We are so excited to announce that for the month of March we will be giving 15% off all orders to Cover Girls. Cover Girls is a mentoring program apart of The Caring Place/Miami Rescue Mission. This program is dedicated to women coming out of domestic violence and homelessnes. They, along with their families, reside in the Miami and Broward Centers for Women and Children.
What is Cover Girls?
Cover Girl mentors are women who give of their time (volunteer), their talent (skills and abilities) and their treasure (pledge of $10 or more per month). This is all done in love to help women and children who have had some really hard knocks in life. The goal is to see those that are mentored become successful in life.
The women that join Cover Girls go through an awareness program addressing a wide spectrum of life-controlling issues. These programs include education, financial planning, anger management, nutrition, parental counseling and career readiness.
Employment skills and computer literacy are also an important focus in the programs. There is an emphases on tools to help free women of life-controlling issues. All the women receive individual counseling. In addition, the program offers a strong focus on knowing God has a plan for your life, building a positive attitude, communication skills, long range planning, dependability, restitution, honesty and courtesy.
Why Cover Girls?
Our Mission
When women support other women, incredible things happen. By joining together we hope to empower the Cover Girl women and help to continue their mission. We hope to build a long-lasting partnership and continue to work together to help, support, and encourage women coming out of domestic violence and homelessness.
